Brad McMahon joined FreeRange in January, 2008 as its Executive Vice President. In this role, McMahon will be responsible for driving the FreeRange Communications business strategy, revenue growth through strategic business relationships, and assisting with fund raising for the company.
Prior to joining FreeRange, McMahon was the VP Corporate Development for Kronos, Inc., a Massachusetts based multi-billion dollar software and services company in the Workforce Management space. At Kronos, McMahon was responsible for developing strategic business partnerships, alliances, European and Asia expansion efforts for the Talent Management Division, and identifying and leading M&A activities for this group. McMahon helped to lead the sale of Unicru, Inc. (a Beaverton based technology company) to Kronos in 2006 for $170 Million. Under McMahon’s leadership, Unicru made several multi-national acquisitions extending Unicru’s dominant position in Workforce Selection and Optimization. During McMahon’s tenure at Unicru, the company grew from just over $10 Million in revenue to $50 million in revenue, achieved strong profitability, and clear market leadership.
Prior to joining Unicru/Kronos, McMahon held senior business development positions in the sports/entertainment, media and internet industries focused on securing innovative revenue generating business partnerships and joint ventures with Global 1000 partners and clients on behalf of organizations like Agency.com, Time Warner/Turner Broadcasting, the NBA, NHL, and Katz Communications.
A native of Portland, McMahon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Marketing from Oregon State University (1988), sits on the board of directors of Healthnotes (www.healthnotes.com) , is a member of the Oregon Entrepreneurs Forum and American Marketing Association, and was selected for the Portland Business Journal’s 40 under 40 business/community leadership award.
